Who we are
Tidebreak AI Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our details are on the Legal information page. For any question about this notice or your personal data, contact Johannes Stillig, johannes@tidebreak.ai.
What data we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal data to browse this site. We collect personal data in two situations:
- When you contact us. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the details you send, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This collects data such as your IP address (truncated by Google), device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you move through the site. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site.
We do not use the site for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across other websites.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Responding to your enquiry: contact details and message content. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely dealing with enquiries addressed to us.
- Website analytics: the analytics data listed above. Lawful basis: consent, given through our cookie banner.
You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
Analytics data is retained by Google for two months, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
Who we share it with
We use Google as our analytics provider. Google processes analytics data on our behalf. Our website and contact form run on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Ireland), and enquiry email is handled by Google Workspace; both act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data or share it for others to use for their own purposes.
Transfers outside the UK
Google may process analytics data on servers in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, the transfer is protected by an approved safeguard, namely Google's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the UK-US data bridge).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these, contact Johannes Stillig, johannes@tidebreak.ai. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at Johannes Stillig, johannes@tidebreak.ai. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond as quickly as we can.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would prefer the chance to resolve the matter first.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
